second explanation
i'm terrible at writing "posts." i don't understand them. is it like a diary? is it my soap box? is it a marketing tool? and isn't it cooler to have a "website" than some stupid blog? who will read it? is there shit i shouldn't say? is my FAMILY going to read this? and it takes me forever to write the damn things.

There really is no right way to write a blog post and I am not even sure if you were asking for any advise or if you were just posing a rhetorical question? I have only been blogging for about 6 months and I came across you blog and I thought I would share with you a few things I have learned. Most likely no one is reading your blog, but that is no reason that you shouldn't write it as if you had a large readership, and then when someone happens on your blog, like I have, they will feel drawn in because they hear a voice behind it. Second, I like to have some sort of structure to what I say, almost like you were a regularly scheduled tv show or talk show, but again everyone is different and there really are no rules. My blog is totally different. It is about life as a law student, and it took me a while to get into blogging, but basically what I see as the most successful blogs are the ones that feel like people put daily, or weekly, or some sort of regular attention in them, and you just never know who might read them. good luck.

Please write about fractals from your understanding of them -- what you know and what interests you about fractals. Write about fractals for beginners -- fractals for tiny minds. What is a fractal and why does it matter? Inform us please not with linked lengthy articles, but from your own expansive thinking and linking... please.
I know we have to do the work, but you could do a bit more to engage us in your process. maybe???
I love writing blogs, it gets out all my totally unwitty angst. And people read my drivel, I will never understand why so many think I'm so entertaining. But I secretly enjoy.
